Paint Recycling
The paint recycling program allows households and businesses in the County to recycle unwanted latex and oil based paints and stains free of charge. Please contact the participating retailers listed below for quantity restrictions and drop off information. Business generated paint and stains: If you are using the Knott Landfill Hazardous Waste Facility please fill out this form (Business Application) and follow the instructions. You can get tips on how to estimate and purchase the right amount of paint and tips on paint storage for future use.

Just follow these simple steps:
Seal the lids tightly so the cans don’t leak. (Open or leaking containers cannot be accepted.) Keep paints in their original containers and leave the labels on. Never mix oil and latex paints. Bring in paint during store hours only. All paint containers must be examined by store staff.
