» About our site

Deschutes County's new web site design was released on November 10th, 2003.  We redesigned the site with the public's needs in mind.  We think we've succeeded at making our site much easier for the public to navigate and find information quickly.  Our site has been organized into 5 main categories; Living Here, Business, Visiting, Government and eServices.

Living Here (blue):  This section serves as the home page into our site because most of our site's visitors are Deschutes County citizens.  There is a large amount of information in this category geared to our citizens.

Business (green):  Our business category is designed for people doing business with or in Deschutes County. This category is organized for business people to easily locate information.

Visiting (purple):  If you are looking into visiting Deschutes County our visiting category is the area for you.  We've listed many resources for visitors to our region from climate & weather to recreation.

Government (gray):  The government section has information regarding Deschutes County's structure, the Board of County Commissioners, all of the county's information organized by department, and much much more.

eServices (red):  Our eServices area provides our users the option of obtaining a number of county services online.  In this category you can make a road repair request, search property information and maps, find out if your building permit is ready and subscribe to our job announcements list.
