New application:
We initiate communication with third-party entities that receive and process your background check form submissions. We then wait for them to authorize your approval to work. Typical processing time is up to five weeks. -
Credential renewal requests:
Even after you've submitted all renewal forms to us, State's automated system will continue to notify your eXPRS EVV, and email account, of 'expiring DD 84-803 credentials', you may ignore them.

- Standard PSW hourly rate: Automatically applies to any enrolled PSW
Non-Standard PSW Wages:
- Legacy or Hold Harmless Grandfathered Rate: PSWs who were employed prior to October 1, 2013, and were earning more than $13.00/hr were able to maintain their rate as part of the CBA Hold Harmless clause. As PSW rates have been adjusted through increases and cost of live adjustments (COLAs) the legacy rates have continued if they are higher than the current base rate and the PSW has maintained active enrollment as a PSW.
- Enhanced Rate: When the individual with whom the PSW serves meets the criteria* for enhanced or exceptional supports, and the PSW has completed the appropriate training qualifies for a higher rate.

"Carina is a user-friendly website where individuals and families who are looking for care can easily match with homecare providers that meet their needs. This is a new and optional tool for all Medicaid and Oregon Independence (OPI) consumers. Carina has partnered with the Oregon Department of Human Services, Oregon Home Care Commission, Carewell SEIU 503, and SEIU Local 503 to develop and effective online care matching tool that meets the needs of Medicaid and OPI consumers across Oregon."(a)

The Employer Resource Connection (ERC, formerly known as STEPS) program offers free resources for people who are approved to receive in-home services through Medicaid or Oregon Project Independence.
These resources are designed to promote successful working relationships between people with disabilities and the people they employ to provide in-home supports.
